Cooperation among the cooperatives, or inter-cooperation, strengthens the individual member cooperatives and the Corporation as a whole. It is both, a concrete application of solidarity and a requirement for business efficiency.
Summary
In addition to its strategies and common institutions, MONDRAGON has financial mechanisms, such as its annual inter-cooperative pooling of results. To deal with crises it also has a range of non-financial mechanisms, including relocation and retraining of member-workers and flexible work calendar.
